Eagle Watching
I absolutely love Eagles and will go way out of the way to view and take photos of one. This time I went to Dubuque Iowa to get this photo. I have more than just this one, but the Eagle photos turned out to be only a bonus to an otherwise perfect day. I couldn’t have asked for a better day or better company on this trip. The focus was on the trip and not the destination. I think that is a key to why it was exceptional. I did mention the company right? The would not have been remarkable in the least had it not been for the company. Thank you Julie.
Fall
The fall colors are beginning to show in Wisconsin. If you want portraits done with this type of backdrop you should get in touch with me now. I really like the outdoor nature backdrops for family portraits. The window is tight here in Wisconsin for the fall colors and warm enough not to give you wind burn on your face.
Warrior parade
Warriors on parade. My son the saxophone playing Warrior. I couldn’t be prouder of him. Playing Sax for the band, playing football, and on the A honor roll. He has big shoes for the little sisters to fill. I know they do fine on their own, but how will they top him? I look forward to seeing them try.
Warriors Football
I love sports photography, but it is even more exciting when my child is playing. David is playing his first season of Football for the 7th grade team. He is playing SE/CB. He loves it. He can hardly contain his excitement when talking about it. He is so eager to play. He will not stop once he starts to talk about it. He is not a star player or even a starter, but I couldn’t be prouder of him. His excitement and effort is all I could ask for as a dad. I can’t stand it when I see him grinning from ear to ear under his helmet when he runs off the field after being in for a play. What could be better?
Portrait Shoot.

One of the natural shots.
I did a photo shoot for some friends. Had fun shooting their daughter. She was easy to make laugh. I like natural laugh shots. I like to get to know who I am shooting so I can try to get their personality into the photos. This time, I was asked to try to match some pics of big sister’s portraits. This makes the last part very difficult. I have trouble making it feel and look natural when they want a certain look. This is actually a new realization for me. I am fine with a client wanting a certain look, but to try copy someone elses work is another thing. Very hard to do, especially when you don’t have the same props. hehehe! Oh well. I still had a lot of fun and really like these people, and really enjoy doing this.
